Three posters for the ‘Ro Theater’ in Rotterdam: a teaser for their new shows, a time-schedule and a poster highlighting one of the shows.

2008 – Emoticons

Posters for the Dutch documentary ‘Emoticons’ which shows us five girls who only have friends and soulmates on the internet, all for different reasons. While the first poster is pure promotional, the additional two were created to provoke reactions and were thus exhibited at various schools and canteens.

2009 – Movies That Matter Festival

Alternative identity for Amnesty’s annual ‘Movies That Matter Festival’ in The Hague. The festival tries to catch the viewers’ attention for human rights with film and debat. By doing so it can also ‘violate’ the international censorship at a regular base. The identity tries to visualise this with a phazed poster-campaign consisting of 15 different, censored posters that expose themselves during the build-up to the festival. It gives the viewer a feeling of how it is when apparently obvious information isn’t obvious anymore.
Together with the poster-campaign the identity comes with a daily-paper, a website and an iPhone-application.

2005 – Identity Matters

Mural to compensate the inhabitants of Alphen aan den Rijn for the inconvenience caused during the construction of a new city centre. Although mainly directed to the youth, our aim was to create something everyone could relate to. We called the project ‘Identity Matters’ and chose to focus on different ways of gaining identity; through fashion, music, art and brands. Done with spraycans and stencils, in collaboration with K.T. Tsujimaru and M. Lugtigheid.

2003 – Postmen

To promote the Solid-extra with Postmen, we created a picture postcard of Postmen already chillin’ in Alphen a/d Rijn using stand-ins and paper cut-out heads. Shot on location at some (in)famous Alphen hang-outs.

Designed with Paul Kempe and K.T. Tsujimaru. With a little help from Joël Sitanala & Marsius Latupeirissa-Parera.

Illegal poster-action to promote a gig by Hip hop-funkband Relax and deejay Paul Deluxe in Het Kasteel, Alphen a/d Rijn. Out of discontent with the lack of promotion we decided to create 25 posters ourselves using stencils on wrapping paper and go all-out. The few that were not used are considered collector items these days. Designed with K.T. Tsujimaru.
